TerraTex® Nonwovens

TerraTex® nonwoven geotextiles are designed to perform three primary functions: separation, stabilization, and filtration. These geotextiles have a random, three-dimensional fiber structure which provides enhanced hydraulic properties; they are available in various strength and weight combinations to meet most application or specification requirements.

  • TerraTex® nonwovens meet various classifications of AASHTO M288 for subsurface drainage, separation, stabilization, and erosion control.

  • TerraTex® environmental nonwoven geotextiles are designed to perform four primary functions: filtration, separation, in-plane drainage, and protection/cushioning.

  • Nonwoven interlayer fabrics provide multiple benefits including stress absorption, bond breaking, and waterproofing; there are two types of interlayer geotextiles – overlay and bond breaker fabrics.

Overlay fabrics are used with flexible pavements to create a moisture barrier between layers and control reflective cracking. Bond breakers provide separation and improve drainage with concrete pavements.

  • Geosynthetic products are used in railroads to provide filtration, separation, and reinforcement under ballast. AREMA typically requires needle punch nonwoven geotextiles for this application; however, Hanes Geo also offers a range of geogrids for ballast and sub-ballast reinforcement.

  • Terratex® Energy nonwoven geotextiles provide cushioning for puncture protection of geomembrane liners used in primary containment and pit lining applications.

Terratex® High Heat (HH) nonwoven geotextiles are thermally calendared to create the optimum texture for spray-applied polyurea lining systems used in applications such as tank batteries, well pads, and substations.
