TerraDrain® Chimney Drains

TerraDrain® chimney drains are designed for use in civil structures like slopes and retaining walls. They are fully wrapped with a drainage geotextile to prevent soil intrusion, and the core is perforated to allow flow in two directions.

Hanes Geo offers two series of chimney drain products, C-50 Series (moderate flow) and C-100 Series (high flow). Both are available with multiple drainage geotextile options, including AASHTO M288 compliant products.

TerraDrain® prefabricated chimney drains are constructed by fully wrapping a polymeric perforated core with a nonwoven filter fabric. The filter fabric is bonded to the core to prevent soil intrusion into the flow channels while allowing water to freely enter the drain core from both sides. TerraDrain® chimney drains are available in 12”, 16”, and 24” widths and provide a time saving, effective drainage solution for reducing hydrostatic pressure where full coverage is not required or is not feasible.
