Geomembranes

From leachate to potable water, Hanes Geo Components liquid containment/control membranes are key performance tools for safe, economical solutions.

  • Geosynthetic Clay Liners

Bentofix® Thermal Lock Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCLs) are needle-punched composites which combine two durable geotextile outer layers with a uniform core of natural sodium bentonite clay to form a hydraulic barrier. When hydrated under confinement, the bentonite swells to form a layer with the equivalent hydraulic protection of several feet of compacted clay. Hanes Geo’s Terrafix® division manufactures over sixty different types of GCLs to meet most specifications and regulatory requirements.

  • Polyvinyl Chloride

PVC is a single-ply construction of flexible Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and is used for permanently protecting or lining any underground feature or structure. It is available in a 10-60 mil thickness and can be factory seamed into large panels or can be easily fabricated in the field using simple tools and a chemical bonding agent. Products for extended UV exposure, and those safe for aquatic life are also available.

  • Woven/Coated Polyethylene Liners

Woven/Coated Polyethylene liners are very cost-effective solutions designed for easy installation and extended life. Their benefits include minimal thermal expansion and contraction, high resistance to tears and punctures, and good UV resistance. They can be factory fabricated for applications including soil remediation, stockpile protection, water management and/or erosion control, and for many types of temporary containment structures.

  • PE Construction Grade Films

PE Construction Grade Films are basic black or clear Polyethylene films available in a 4, 6 and 10 mil thickness. They are typically used for temporary protection of stored materials, equipment or other areas exposed to rain, wind, dust, etc.

  • Linear Low-Density Polyethylene

Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) is typically designed for waste/water containment applications that require greater flexibility and elongation; it is UV and chemical resistant, puncture resistant, and offers long term performance and durability. It is available with a smooth or textured finish in a 20-40 mil thickness and can be factory seamed in large panels to limit the need for field fabrication.
